SEE WHY YOU SHOULD ALWAYS BE HAPPY AND LAUGH MORE....

Many years ago, Norman Cousins was diagnosed as “terminally ill”. He was given six months to live. His chance for recovery was 1 in 500. He could see the worry, depression and anger in his life contributed to, and perhaps helped cause, his disease. He wondered, “If illness can be caused by negativity, can wellness be created by positivity?” He decided to make an experiment of himself. Laughter was one of the most positive activities he knew. He rented all the funny movies he could find – (This was before VCRs, so he had to rent the actual films.) He read funny stories. He asked his friends to call him whenever they said, heard or did something funny. His pain was so great he could not sleep. Laughing for 10 solid minutes, he found, relieved the pain for several hours so he could sleep. He fully recovered from his illness and lived another 20 happy, healthy and productive years. (His journey is detailed in his book, Anatomy of an Illness.) He credits visuali

DETERMINATION AND PERSISTENCE...

This is a real life story of engineer John Roebling building the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, USA back in 1870. The bridge was completed in 1883, after 13 years. In 1883, a creative engineer named John Roebling was inspired by an idea to build a spectacular bridge connecting New York with the Long Island. However bridge building experts throughout the world thought that this was an impossible feat and told Roebling to forget the idea. It just could not be done. It was not practical. It had never been done before. Roebling could not ignore the vision he had in his mind of this bridge. He thought about it all the time and he knew deep in his heart that it could be done. He just had to share the dream with someone else. After much discussion and persuasion he managed to convince his son Washington, an up and coming engineer, that the bridge in fact could be built. Working together for the first time, the father and son developed concepts of how it could be accomp

AWAKE! SOAR LIKE AN EAGLE...

Image
Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the wind to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the wind that bring the storm. When the storms of life come upon us, like the eagle, we can rise above them and ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure, and disappointment into our lives. What is your greatest challenge right now? Jot it down and then let it lift you higher. Raise above your problems... You can soar like the eagle!!

MOMENTS OF TRUTH...

Hear These...! Life is strenge, life is funny, life is unpredictable... Sometimes full of suprises, sometimes with disappointments, sometimes with so much happiness and sometimes, sadness. I do not pretend to be older than my grandpa, but the truth is despite my age, I'm old enough to confess that life is indeed a mystery. @ I've seen a Landlord becoming a tenant before his death. @ I've seen owner of a ' benz' pedalling a bicycle not for sports but for transportation... Some even trek. @ I know a student who became the Vice Chancellor in his former University with most of his lectures still teaching under him. @ I have seen once rejected boy becoming the bread winner for a whole community. @ A once sought-after lady begging a young guy half her age to marry her. @ A victor becoming a victim. @ A driver's conductor buying a car for his master. @ A borrower recruiting the credit manager. @ In life, no one knows tomorrow &

As funny as it sound, I know you maybe wondering my reason for that caption... One day, I decided to ask about the excitement of 14th feb popularly called Saint Valentine's day-the only person I could ask was my uncle because I was living with him at that time. "Sit down my son, let me tell you the meaning of Valentine and what feb. 14tn is all about". He said. 'Wow, so I am finally going to do away with my curiosity'. I thought. Little did I know that I was about entering the greatest confusion of my life. "VALENTINE means FATHERS OF TINY CHILDREN" he said, "what young people celebrate that day is immorality, defilement, and the kind of evil that results in the young girls giving birth to tiny, malnourished and rejected bastards, not only that, they incur the wroth of God for themsel

A NOTE TO THE SINGLE LADIES...

Alert! This note is not to offend you, rather it is to make some corrections. Many ladies are getting older by the day because they are waiting for a man that is rich, handsome, good looking, educated and so on instead of a godly man with a bright future. These have lured many of our ladies to their early grave. Just last month, eleven girls were reportedly killed, their sensitive parts taken away because they went for the money they didnt know the source. Make some findings, you will hear that some of those girls had the opportunity of marrying some promising young men but turned them down- this is very pathetic! I heard a very true story of a beautiful female graduate who turned down a promising young man because he didnt live big, she prefered a man who had a filling station. Without arguement, the wealthy man payed everything he was asked to pay as dowry - marriage dong start... The girl took in and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, she fall sick months after the delivery.

As they were going, there came a mighty storm, both of them were afraid as the canoe started sinking. At that moment, the husband picked up the life jacket, put it on and jumped into the water leaving his helpless wife with the sinking canoe. His wif
