There was once a little villiage that was so poor.
All they had was only one cow and every family
based their survival on that cow.
Each family had her day to milk the cow and
manage with the milk till their next date.
This went on for a long time and all the villagers
were acustomed to this tradition. They were also
very satisfied and contented.
One day, two visitors who were on an adventure
visited the village, they were very displeased with
the situation in that village.
Visitor One:
"what can we do to help these people, they are
very lazy and unwilling to work".
Visitor Two:
"lets buy one more cow for them".
Visitor One:
"no, we can't do that, it will make them more lazy.
Lets think of a better idea".
These two gentle men thought for while. "I have a
good idea" said Visitor One, "lets distroy their only
means of survival, lets kill the cow" he suggested.
"NO! We can't do that" argued Visitor Two,
"destroying their only means of survival will be
very wicked. That means we want all of them
death!!" he explained.
"Think outside the box my dear friend" adviced
Visitor One. "killing the cow doesn't means we
want them to die. They are in this condition
because they all depend on this cow but if we kill
the cow, they'll think of farming and doing other
things that will better their lives" he explained.
The two visitor later agreed.
That night, they executed their plan-they poisoned
the cow and ran away from that village for fear of
their lives.
The following morning, everyone woke up to the
sad and surprised death of their only means of
livelihood.
"who could have done this to our village?" they
wondered.
"It must be those visitors" said an elder
"But what should we do now" Asked the village
head.
"Since we have plots of land, let every family get a
portion, clear and plant on it. If all of us go into
farming, we will have enough to eat and sell. Our
families will be better for it". Suggested an aged
woman.
That was the best idea they had ever heard.
So they went into farming, planted different crops
and nurture them. Soon, it was time to harvest,
they started living a better life and making money
through the sales of their farm products.
Years later, the Visitors decieded to pay that village
a visit to see how they were faring.
They couldn't locate the village, so they asked and
traced their way there.
On reaching, the saw that everything changed.
Many mud houses were replaced with blocks,
people lives changed, they started building schools
for their children, some had their car.
These development made the visitors glad but they
had to confess their deed to the entire vijage.
On getting to the palace, they told the king
everything, the king summoned the entire village
so they could confess to them.
To their surprise, the entire village came out
celebrating them (the Visitors) for librating them
(the village) from poverty.
They were honoured what titles.
